I have an obsession

I have an obsession....with animals that look like a bear. I love British Blue puss cats for that very reason.

They seem to be the breed of cat that features in all the television and print advertising because they are so beautiful looking. They are super soft too. And they look like a bear, with their round head and short ears.

It is because of my obsession with all animals that look like a bear, even when they aren’t a bear, that I love British Blue puss cats. And Chow Chows, Samoyeds, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Newfoundlands. These are all incredibly gorgeous dogs that also look like bears, that I love.

You may know that I have a British Blue puss cat called Ruby. Ruby is 8.5 years old and a brilliant friend and companion. Especially in winter, when she sits on my lap every night. Apparently that isn't normal for a British Short hair to do that, but she does. She loves food more than a Labrador though and is very vocal. Whenever I go to the fridge alone, I open the fridge door, then as I close it, Ruby is there every single time, looking up at me. It scares me and makes me laugh at the same time. You would think that I would be used to it, but I'm not!

When I was 5 years old, I spent some time in hospital. My toy that I had with me was Rupert the Bear and I would watch his children’s show every time it was on TV. If you google him, you will see what he looks like. I think that my obsession with animals that look like a bear, comes from Rupert and he was my comfort as a toy when I was sick. If you got me on a couch, with a professional psychiatrist, I bet that is what they would uncover.
