You are connected to your friends, but that connection didn't happen overnight. It took years to build. Just like anything beautiful, it takes years of work and effort and constant maintenance.

Today is International Day of Friendship and I celebrate all of my friends and I hope that you will too. To all of my friends past, present and future, thank you. You have made my life richer by being in it and I hope that I have done the same for you.

Likewise, forging a connection with your wedding photographer is so important. Get to know them as people. Let them get to know you both. Arrange an Engagement Portrait Session or a Pre-Wedding Session with them. You can then get to know their style, how they interact, your commonalities, whether you just like them and they you.

See if they are a calming influence, easy going, they have empathy, humour and are good natured, because you are really going to need a photographer who is all of those things on your wedding day. Getting to know one another makes for a much easier and enjoyable wedding day and the photos will be so much better for it.
