Hello my friends

I do hope that you are well and enjoying the sweet scent of blossom, lavender, daffodils, bluebells, wattle and wisteria that are filling our streets and gardens and if you are super lucky, the orange, lemon and grapefruit blossom.

Today, is World Gratitude Day and may I take a moment to thank you for being here and for being my friend. I have put together 5 simple action steps that you can take immediately to increase your gratitude.

INCREASING YOUR GRATITUDE IS ABOUT CHOICE. YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BE GRATEFUL.

1. Every night - before you go to bed, think back over your day and remember 3 good things that happened - things that went well, that you enjoyed or were grateful for. These can be small (e.g. a delicious lunch or a message from a friend) or of bigger importance for you. You'll probably find it varies. Try doing this for a week to start with.

2. Note them down - this is important. You may want to get a small notebook just for this purpose.

3. Think about why - for each thing you're grateful for, write down why it happened and why you feel good about it and grateful for it. This may feel a bit tricky at first but you'll soon get the hang of it.

4. Look back - after a week, have a look back on what you've written. How does it feel when you look at all these good things? Do you notice any themes? Are you surprised at how much you have to feel grateful for?

5. Keep it up - try keeping it up for another couple of weeks at least. Then, see if your mindset has changed at all. Do you find that you are happier because you are more grateful?

How did you get on? Please feel free to drop me an email to let me know.

Until next time, stay groovy and grateful….

Much love and gratitude,

Elana xx
